Out of the Chevys I like the 68's best.

I like 4X4 GMC's, 2X4 Chevy's.

'71 and '72 are about the same for me. I like '71's best because of the steel door panels and rear view mirror that mounts to the cab. I have always liked our 2 small back window '71's since I was knee high.

I voted for 1972 because I like the Chevrolet k10 longbed fleetside. But I will never get rid of my 1967 chevy c10 longed for anything.

Re: What's your favorite year?

1972 ,I seem to have a thing for 72's as I have a 72 Chevelle Malibu convertible ,a 72 El Camino SS and Im restoring my 72 short fleet side .And my original truck that I should have never sold was a 72 GMC ,but that was about 15 years ago.

Re: What's your favorite year?

Hard choice! I do like the looks of the 68 grill and hood. But i had to go with the 72 because of the trim, color combo's, interior, and better suspension. Joseph

Re: What's your favorite year?

I like them all. Spent a good year, looking for the perfect 67-72 truck. One not restored, but fairly well kept/maintained, that I could do some minor things to it, to make it a daily driver.

My fav, though, would be a 72 long or shortbed, white top with the medium blue/white two tone. That blue, that GM used, was the perfect shade of blue.

71, love the egg crate grill, turn signals in the front bumper, 5-lug wheels, and the disc brakes.

Don't like the 72 door panels and glued on mirror

Re: What's your favorite year?

I favor my 1972 because my first truck was a blue 1972. I owned that truck for ten years then I sold it. Now I own another 1972 and I'm fixin it up to be a nice driver.

I picked '72 as it is my favorite all around truck, but I love that Small Back Glass on a '67 and really like the looks of a '68. Always wished the newer years had the Small Back Glass option.

1972 was one of the best all around years. I like the Pick-up, Impala, Corvette, Chevelle, Camaro and Nova as well as the Medium and Heavy trucks. Also like the limited smog devices they have compared to the newer vehicles. ...was even a great year for Harley-Davidsons!!

I have often thought about my favorite all around year like you just mentioned. I would probably have to say 68 because of the trucks, camaros, corvettes, and chevelles were ALL incredible in that year. The only thing missing is my beloved Blazer. I guess if I could have been around at the very end of 68 I could have walked on the dealership and gotten all the leftover 68s and maybe picked up a brand new blazer off the showroom floor and be set for life!

Re: What's your favorite year?

My preference is a 71 or 72 Chevy. The grill setup & blinkers in the bumper is just a classic looking setup IMHO.

This thread is a little out of date, but I thought I would bring it ttt just for the heck of it.

Re: What's your favorite year?

Yeah, little outta date... but someone's gotta bring it back.

Never could figure out what year my favorite is. Why? Cause it doesn't matter to me whether it is a GMC or Chevy, 67-72. No preference cause I love them all. If I had a place big enough to fit a collection, I would have every year model from 67-72 in both brands. Even Suburbans and Blazers. I would have 2wd and 4x4's in every year and make, and swb and long beds. So, does anyone think I have an obsession?

No vote from me...lol But, now after having my 69 and getting ready to up date the brakes. I would prefer to have a 71-72 model for that reason only. But for a collectors basis, I want them all. I am greedy.

68. Best front end and gotta have a big back window. Although ideally I'd build a hybrid truck. 67-68 front end on a 71-72 Cheyenne truck with all the side molding in tact.

Re: What's your favorite year?

Really hard to pick just one year. But 68's are my fav nut I would buy up every truck I could if I won the lotto. There's not a classic vehicle that compares to these trucks in style and power imho.
