I can tell you that like mentioned earlier need to spend as much as possible on a starter truck. Otherwise all the hidden costs are going to eat you up.

Thankfully for me, I learned a ton of auto maintenance that now spills to my other vehicles where I can do repairs without having to pay the auto mechanic. My current job I got because of what I learned in the process of building my truck. So it was a win for me, but certainly not the "Easy road"
