Re: 67' Short, possibly named "Ladykiller 4"

you off to the blasters already? I have a brand new set of u bolts u can have if you need them, got a longer set coming with my blocks, gonna install them temporarily without paint etc until my blocks get here just so I can roll it out and mount the cab on the frame should be back off in 10 days, may take you up on the power steering box though, mine has a leak on it and may be worth swappin out until I can afford a red top or other short ratio one

Re: 67' Short, possibly named "Ladykiller 4"

Got the frame stripped back down from mock up, time to get it blasted and coated. Also ordered my Eagle 225's today, 20X8.5 in the front, and 20X10 in the rear.

Re: 67' Short, possibly named "Ladykiller 4"

I love the idea of keeping the faded body! Looks killer, can only imagine what I'd do with a somewhat solid long box C10 some day Gotta love the shop trucks

Frame still at blasters, all the rest of the porterbuilt goodies dropped off for powder coat, and some pictures of the newest piece.

Powdercoated!!

Heres the going together pics, started with the front end, still need to rebuild the rear axle before that can go in. Used my fancy homemade press to put in the ball joints.

Re: 67' Short, possibly named "Ladykiller 4"

Used 15% Satin black on all parts, and on control arms, and trailing arms were done with a color called black chrome. It is a real nice dark silver metallic, the gloss is a good contrast against the flat in my opinion.

Re: 67' Short, possibly named "Ladykiller 4"

Hey DCoffey and Tantrumpipeline, You guys have some nice trucks for being up in Canada. I know I am from Prince George B.C. Nice to see some fellow Canadians on here with some nicer rides than mine thats for sure. I have a buddy lives in GP.

Keep up the good work.

Re: 67' Short, possibly named "Ladykiller 4"

No work or updates for this week, taking Christmas early and going to Mexico for a week. Not much been happening anyways, wheels came in this week apparently, will have to pick up when I get home. Need to get my favorite machinist to turn down the hub centrics on my five lug conversion shafts for fit on the new rotors for the rear.
