Re: Lower a 49 rolling OG chassis?

nice score man, welcome to the fray!

your truck looks like a longbed, did you get the short bed with the deal on the chassis?

start a project thread in the projects section and dont be afraid to ask questions, we dont bite.

much.

Yes my truck is a long bed

I did not get the bed As I am going to keep the patina look on my truck My plan was to shorten my bed

that would have been my suggestion! If I can make a second suggestion, save the old stake pocket you remove, and remove it carefully!

That is great. Always a feeling of accomplishment when you get behind the wheel for a ride! Nice.

Re: Lower a 49 rolling OG chassis?

chad sent a couple videos. remember that at the beginning of this year, this was just a rolling chassis!

I love the skinny wheel look, I am going with 15x6 or 16x5 on my 41.

Re: Lower a 49 rolling OG chassis?

When using the g body style rearend with upper and lower control arms go with coil overs and ditch the springs.. Ride is allot better.. At least that is what is done on my truck..I am running an 02 SS Camaro rear with disk brakes, 3:73 gears.
