Re: Axle Options
Mine was quite a bit for my rear axle lol but I wanted everything on it nothing missing a low mileage piece it came with the g80 locker, disc brakes etc as for my front I'm running an 86 Dana 60 that was a bolt in setup all I needed was new spring plate and u bolts which I got from 4wdfactory, in your case you want one from a single wheel 3/4 ton truck a 1 ton the perches will have to be moved out

Re: Axle Options
If you stick with 3/4 ton, just upgrade the outer assembly as described in the link above... If there's nothing wrong with the front axle, you would be taking a chance on an unknown part if you swap in another... I would guess 3.73 is common for the 3/4 ton... if you want to pay the $$ for a D60, I think the 4.10 is more common. Average asking price is $1000...

Re: Axle Options
Basically what mcm said but mine was 800$ I wasn't sure I over paid but it seems I didn't mine was 100% complete as well and my 86 D60 was 850$ with matching rear axle, everything I got all had 4.10s to match my stock gears which is what you'll find it most 3/4 tons or 3.73s
