Re: Highliner w/ built in speakers (from lmc)

I will be going this route as well. Had one years ago and liked it. I know Gearz TV just did his "knucklebuster" project and he put one in and he said he got it from LMC and it is still in mine. I will probably upgrade the speakers and paint some red accents on it since my truck will be red with black accents.

Yea ole Scott saw mine and had to have one also, they were alot cheaper back then but so was everything else!
Easy to install just get a friend to help you hold it up in place and take a#2 pencil and trace the holes then drill the marked holes.
remove your mirror and sunvisors first, bring your wiring up through the gas gauge wiring, I drilled a 1/2 hole above the interior light to reach the radio!
Good luck!

Kinda pricey to be yanking the speakers out of and replacing them, wonder why they don't offer it without speakers?

Re: Highliner w/ built in speakers (from lmc)

Had one sitting around for a long time and forget where I picked it up

I plan on using it on my build and you can see how I will be installing it (post #115) http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...=318544&page=5 I lined it up with the visor bracket holes and used cleckos to hold it in place, working from the center out. You have to be careful drilling the holes not to drill to deep or you’ll hit the outside skin with the drill. Also drilled a one inch hole behind the outboard speaker pocket to run the wires thru a grommet.
