^Yeah,I`m over it.There`s a whole life ahead.It sure changes your perspective and priorities.I had gathered what I wanted in the 67-72 department (well,never done) and had plenty to keep me busy if I never bought another vehicle.I spent my life trying to get "set",so I could better enjoy my later years.I lost alot more than trucks.In my case it was a result of losing my marriage.
Hey Olden Days,Thanks!! That was one sweet truck,a rare unrestored original paint truck.I was trying to keep it and sell the GMC.Notice the for sale sign in one picture?People kept wanting me to sell them the Blue & White truck.The GMC is White with a Blue interior.I`d tell them it wouldn`t take much to make it Blue and White.It`s not like I didn`t like the GMC,so I sold the Chevy to a good friend who is taking very good care of it.Your SWB looks great.Congratulations on gittin`er done! jrdv,your place looks awfully crowded up with your junk.Let me know if your neighbors start complaining.I haul junk off for free.I`ve even been known to pay a fair amount for the right junk.  I had this`72 Custom Deluxe K/10 for a short time many years ago.It`s the only LWB K/10 I ever had:  I owe alot the the Big Bad Green Siding Machines in the`80s:   A couple pics of trucks paired:   Were`s all them other 67-72s?There must be hundreds on this site.Gilbert66`s 60-66 thread is for any k-model,not just ones we own.i`m looking for an endless thread with page after page.I`m holding out on all the pictures I have until others get there`s out and show`em off.

I think i got 2 pics of some 67-72s at the truck pulls, i didn't bring the memory chip for my moms camera so i used my phone, but didn't take much pics. There was a ton of 69-72s there, hopefully there will be some at the mud drags day. I will upload them tonight and my 69 at the same time.

'69 short - step, '67 cab, buckets - console, 3/4 tons, 200 gear drive, TH350, 454 w/396 heads, 4" springs, etc., etc. Used to mud, but a little improvement got out of control!

here is my '67 C-20 4WD...it is the CST model...am looking for an old Thomas camper to restore and put on it...this truck come's from the Colorado high country where I lived when found it...it was run a a few thousand miles a year since it was new by the original family as a camper truck...the climate here was very kind to it...this was an early production from '66...a few things changed by the model year end...the owners manual I got shows a few changes in the front hubs...however this machine "walks the dog " in 4WD...
I am trying to keep it as original as possible...but there is a serious temptation to paint it another color...first the slide in camper...then see how things are going...the original paint needs wax pretty often...rear cab mounts need replacing too...about a 1/2 -3/4" sag developed... it has 58,000 original miles...327/250 4 speed...squarejet carb...when I changed out the valve covers and oil bath, inside the engine was as clean as a whistle...my little time nachine!! I took off the split rims for regular use...changed out a few engine parts...better air filter, coil and had to rebuild the carb...other than that nothing... I have had a few other older chevs...but this one is by far the best of for me...took a year of pestering the owners to let it go...I drive it every day...t        added a little after market stuff...but of course saved all the orig's...I am a very lucky guy I know...I looked a very long time for this one...hope to drive it the rest of my life...ted BTW some real nice lookin rides folks...lots of work there...but the result is priceless! My1967 3/4 ton. Former brushfire/rescue truck from upstate NY. 292 I6, 4.56 full floaters front and rear, SM 420 w/ Rockwell transfer and Chelsea PTO. 30,000 original miles.

Heres my 70 k10 i've been working on for a year or so. Factory air, Dana 60 rear and 44 front, 350 sbc and 700r4, np205 with advanced adapter shaft and Deaver leaf springs. Working on putting a tpi on it so looking at fuel tank options right now.

The 87-91 K5 Blazer EFI fuel tank fits well and has the sump pan in the bottom to work with the in-tank fuel pump properly. They are pretty cheap new too. A short bed can run the 31 gallon K5 / Suburban tank and the long beds can get away with the optional 40 gallon Suburban tank that is a little longer. You can run the filler neck out through the side marker light, a stake pocket or add a fuel door to the side of the bed.
