No, the tires don't rub. I have the rubber mat down on my parts to buy list. There is a swap meet in Des Moines next weekend and a local 67-72 vendor will be there.

Thanks guys I think I did pretty good.

I like carpet better. It'll clean the mud off you shoes better.

Looks like a good deal.

Re: 72 GMC 4X4 help needed

I think that`s too much for what you`re getting.I`m not sure how good the work is and quality of parts.I wonder what`s under the paint?
EDIT!!!
I posted this before reading the whole thread and I see you bought the truck...
Great truck!!!What an excellent deal!I wish I could find one for that price with all that PIA tear-down and bodywork done. You`re miles ahead on price and what`s left to do.Definately quality work done so far, too!!

I'm getting some stuff done to the '72 GMC. I put the tailgate on, tail light & backup light assemblies are cleaned up and installed, all marker lights are in, cowl vent is installed as well as door handles and door locks. The grill is in place but not bolted in yet because I wanted to re-build the turn signal assemblies. I finished those up tonight. I will start on the interior tomorrow...
