Re: Lets see those BUDDY BUCKETS!!!!!!!

Awhile back I was looking through Craigslist and found a nice looking longbed for sale down the road about 5 miles, as I am looking through the pictures, I see what looks like Buddy Buckets! I call the guy and sure enough, they where! So I ended up trading him my completely rebuilt, in great shape bench seat for his Buddies! Granted they are a little rough but I couldn't beat the price!

Re: Lets see those BUDDY BUCKETS!!!!!!!

I picked these up today out of a dodge pickup.$16.05 at the crusher.I think I'm going to redo them in black leather with a hounds tooth insert.I don't care if they are dodge or not.For the price I can afford to recover them the way I like and put a cd player in the console and not cut my dash.I love treasure hunting in the junk yard.

There is a board member making correct 67/68 end brackets for your frame. contact me for his info...

He made a set for mine and they bolt right into the truck and look 100% stock.

That's what I've been checking on. Mine don't bolt directly into a GM truck.

Re: Lets see those BUDDY BUCKETS!!!!!!!

I was able to install my end brackets with little or no welding too. My seats have an angle iron piece on the outside where the bucket seat bolts to but I would still weld it to the frame. then bolt it to the truck... Your dodge buckets are a little different shaped than mine on the back, funny how there are so many styles... they all look good. Heck, my 05 Tahoe has modern buddy buckets too!

ttt, anyone else have seats out there?

This is in my 1967 CST . I attached a cup holder to the front of my console. It came out of a late model S-10. Works great.

Re: Lets see those BUDDY BUCKETS!!!!!!!

My passenger side bucket is about 2" lower than the driver and middle seat .Is it missing a set of brackets ? It bolted directly to the frame ,did not have any track under it .

Re: Lets see those BUDDY BUCKETS!!!!!!!

ok, so from all the images I have seen of buddy buckets in this thread,
I have not seen one with the rear middle bracket that supports the seat away from the gas tank.
Did these brackets only come on trucks that had buddy buckets from the factory?

I have the bracket in my truck, I will take a picture so everyone can see what I'm talking about.....
It could well be that someone made the bracket that is in my truck....... never know..
but it does make the seat face sit flush with the other 2 seats.

Hang Tight I'll be right back with the photo.

EDIT: here is a photo..

I'll unscrew it and get a few pics of the bracket alone.

Scott

How does that bracket attach? Or can a guy build one similar? Never seen one before, but am interested in it since I picked up some bbs.

Re: Lets see those BUDDY BUCKETS!!!!!!!

It's identical to mine.
There are 3 phillips head sheetmetal screws(1/2 long by number 8 maybe) that go up thru it into the underside of the cab.
