I want to thank all the members who gave me leads on a 4x4. I found one and it is nice . it is lifted with monster tires added. also spent more than I wanted. The truck is a original Orange Red with saddle interior Cheyenne 10 and is a low miles always garaged farm truck. It has the original 350 engine with single exhaust. The seat, dash pad and steering wheel are all original . tachometer too http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/k...psbh0gbh5v.jpg

Here is a picture of the interior. This truck has documentation of original 122k miles on the beast. These farmers take care their equipment. http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/k...skdovygbi.jpgf

I went to Jefferson Or. farmland near Salem. The story goes like this. an old gentleman bought the truck new in 72, he passed in 73 and a farmer bought it and had it till 2012 when another farmer bought it. both these farmers have buildings so the truck was kept inside. it has no rust anywhere I could find. I found the maintenance log book in the glove box and every date and mileage is logged in documenting the low 122k miles all original. Farmers make their living using equipment and they know how to service it. I think most of this truck is original paint, but I can't tell. The original steering wheel has a few cracks, the seat has worn on drivers side and the dash pad has one little crack 1" long. It is the first truck I've seen with all three of them original. the carpet might be too.

Re: Wanted 1972 Chevy 4x4 finders fee 72 extreme tow hooks

I've got a driver 71 GMC 4x4 if it interests you. Truck was put together by the PO, is really a 71 C20 on a 71 K10 frame (CE VIN#). 350/TH350/NO205, D44 Front, 12-bolt rear, PS, PB, Q-Jet built for me by local carb guy on Edelbrock Performer intake, HEI, Optima, otherwise pretty stock. I've put about 30K on in 4 years driving it a couple times a week for engineering work and the occasional camping trip. Tailgate is bent and bed floor is a little banged up from work, but still very usable and not near as bad as many. Some cancer in usual areas (driver cab corner, passenger rocker, under the bed toolbox) and local bubbles (lower driver door, lower front fenders, lower toolbox door), but otherwise pretty clean and straight. Still looks good enough for me as a driver and gets compliments everywhere I go. PM me if you want more pics or info.Name: GMC .jpg
