That would also work, but you would have to be sure that the box was water tight. The late 80's early 90's Corvettes had the ECM under the hood. Maybe a Vette ECM could be gutted and stuffed with TBI "brains". Or if you go TPI, the Vette ECM would work.

i thought i had seen ECMs under hood before, although it is always on some lil blacktop only car... sounds like a time for the welder and some steel to come out
now to just figure out how to run the wiring

After I mounted the ECM, I still wanted to make use of what space was still available for the glove box itself.

Just cut it down and added a plain jane straight backing piece to it.
Nothing huge but at least it'll hold paper work and such.
