Bed Information

Thanks for the assist Gary. Now for a few more details.

Both beds were from Colorado. I brought them back to PA last summer.

Dark Blue Bed $ 675

No tanks. Has light surface rust on bed floor and on bottom members. Some of the wheel house and underside surface rust was removed with a pressure washer. I will need to get bottom pics for more detail
The bed floor has two or three holes near the rear, approx 2 inches square. I will get another pic of these areas.
The right side rocker in front of wheel house has a dent, not severe but there. There may be some minor dings in the upper bed areas in the curved to flat section.
Front bed panel is good.
It has no gate.

Lt Blue Bed $625

Has twin tanks with aluminum doors on bed sides
Similar light surface rust on bottom and on bed floor.
Similar small rust near gate on bed floor in two or three places.
Right side rocker in front of wheelhouse has light crease
Right side wheelhouse lip to rear rocker has a rust out area.
It is small but there.
Gate is fair to average.
Front bed panel is good.

Both beds are not a rust free southwest or western 10 rating. They are both solid, workable, and much better than anything that you will find back here.

The light blue bed is on a 72 GMC 1/2 ton 2wd chassis and has a cab, clip, sway bar, PS box, 3.08 open rear, very clean frame with trailing arms. The cab needs rockers, corners, and I'll have to recheck on cab supports. It has the plaid cloth and vinyl bench seat, deluxe window trim on windshield and back glass. The front fenders are decent except the gas tank installer decided to put matching doors on the lower section of the front fenders as well. Don't have a clue why. Will part out remaining light blue truck parts. There is another cab, $250, it is in similar condition.

Thanks for pics. I am in the middle, I have 2 good quarters from my truck which is a wood bed. I just need front bed panel and wood and metal strips. So for $6-700 range i could have a nice wood bed setup. I thought go used metal cheaper but most i have been seeing are not to good. So i am leaning towards redoing my wood bed. Thanks again Manny

Front Panel

I do have a local who wants a floor, don't really want to tear it apart, but might consider it. If you're not in a rush, I'll try to get to him and see what happens. You're just looking for a good front panel? Is there a difference between a wood front and a steel front? I haven't had both apart.

I think the wood front panel has a metal edge at bottom?
