OH NO... not another embarassing intervention! Oh well...we loved your help and entertainment and you will certainly be missed. You will not believe how much you will get done once you give up this addiction! Hell...my stepside is almost done now that I cut back! 23,000+ posts had to be a record that like Richard Petty's 200 wins will never be surpassed...LOL! GET THAT LONGHORN DONE! Family and marriage is more important.....can you release my arm now dear?

I wish you the best, Andy. Your posts taught me alot.
It's your fault that I now have this Cadillac addiction. It was your posts that got me interested in the "Great Caddy 500". I'd just like you to see it when the swap is finished.
Oh well.....life is full of choices and this is one you've made......I think it's the right one. I know I need to get my butt off this chair a little more than I do.
Anyhow........take care and happy trails.

Andy; Hope everything works out OK for you and your family.
As i reflect back on the last 3 year's I can't even begin to recall all the times your opinion has lead me in the right direction as I started the on road restoration of BB .
From removing the overload spring when I first brought it home to the ,steering wheel ,HEI ,Carb ,Headers .and the many other item . even the one's you don't care for Cup holder that blocks radio and heater , High amp one wire Alt.The difference between Calif. rust and Ohio rust,
The sad part is there are many new members who will not have the benifit of your wisdom .
Those of us who are still here will try to remember the many things you have tought us and pass them on .
FYI> I still haven't hooked up the glove box light but it sure looks good in place.

Best of Luck.

Hey Andy ... sorry to see you go. You've been an inspiration to all of us. You've got me thinking about a Cadillac in my '68.
I've been a member about a year longer than you but I've got 23,101 fewer posts. I'd better get to work.

And don't worry ... you won't be remembered like Fast.

Good look ... hope to hear you again when the time is right.

Unhappy MY LONGHORNMAN ULIGY (kind of)

It is indeed a dark day on this board. I just hope the light at the end of tunnel isnt a gorilla holding a flashlight.
now I know I havent been here very long & I never got a chance to meet you. was hoping to soon. would like to meet someone else in the same profession who is as dedicated to perfection as I am.

YOU WILL BE MISSED BY ALL. please come back once in a while. even if to post a new joke.
from what I have seen here in such a short time you have given a lot of informational wisdom & justly needed entertainment to so many.

YOU ARE THE REDNECK VERSION OF JESUS

I just hope that I can start to fill your shoes as I also enjoy helping others. my dad raised me with theory of a man is not judged by what he owns. he is measured by the type of man he is, the company he keeps (family & friends), & how he helps others when ever possible. the only thing keeping me from holding up to your standard is my wife & 2 boys. I love them more than anything else. please excuse me for a minute while I give them a hug & kiss.

OK I'm back.
priorities in life in order of importance (IMO)
#1 family (where would I be without them?) (please don't answer, the possibilities are scary.)
#2 career (I love what I do) I don't go to work in the morning, I go to the place where I get paid to have fun!
#3 entertainment (working-playing with truck or doing other things like surfing this board)

this deffinately is an addictive thing. I have been spending over 3X the time on internet since joining board. I will have to pull back a little bit for a while. having a young family takes a lot of time & I believe is more rewarding for now & the long run.
maybe we all can carry a piece of you with us whenever we log on or go to a meet.
YOU ARE NOT DEAD, JUST RESTING

anyone have a smilie that is waving "goodbye"?

man Im gonna miss the "ice storm" photos, the polishing turd photos and the dope smoking old man truck. Never thought the day would ever come, but everything has to come to an end I suppose.

I know how you feel though, during the winter I was posting up to 30 times on here, cuz I was bored and it was really cold outside. Now that it is warm and tolerable outside im down to about 5-10 posts a day, I come on to relax and learn. But like others said, Im sure your wife will get sick of you after a while and you'll come crawling back

To me, it feels like the day #3 died.

Sometimes we all take someone for granted that they will always be there, but when they go, it leaves a huge empty hole behind. I fully support your decision Andy, and can understand where your wife is coming from too. An addiction of any kind, can and will tear a family apart (trust me... playing billiards too much ruined my first marriage, and too much alcohol ruined my second). I wish you the best, and I will say a prayer for you that you can salvage your marriage. Quiting cold turkey is the only way you will be able to prove how serious you are about saving any shred of love your wife may have left for you. If I had been given that advice 15 years ago, I would still be happily married to my first, and have seen my daughter grow up. Please Andy, don't let the rest of your life be filled with deep regret because of some computer web site. You are an icon here, and will be deeply missed.

Goodbye Friend.

My God. You guys are making me sick. Most of you wouldnt have this much sympathy if he had cancer.
I personally know Andy. He has been to my house plenty of times. NEVER once has he brought his wife(why?) I have no idea what her name is... And he never even talks about her for cripes sake. MY wife thought he was single. She has been here every time he has been here.
I told my wife about this thread. That is when she told me she thought he was single. It aint nobodys fault but his own. You act like its a huge deal. Lay of the damn computer. Whop-de-freakin'-do.
Hell, he gets a free truck. Which generous board members paid for. And in 2 years cant find time to fix it enough to drive it? Then is maybe going to offer to "sell" it to one of the people who donated money for it? HELLO. That is damn rude.
GET A GRIP. Staying up on the computer till 3am when you gotta go to work at 5:30am pisses most women off. Maybe she just needs laid. How about all of you donating for a laptop computer so he can rest it on her back while they spend time together?
