Damn Mike!!!! That's sweet looking. I was happy with plain calipers but now looking at that setup makes me rethink it much much later after other stuff is done.
BTW: When you ever going to paint the truck?

i know, mike is gonna make me spend half of what i did on my engine, just on my brakes!
is there anything wrong with the rear disc brake kit that they offer on there website? |

Working on it Casey. The problem was the front side and not the rear. This is why I have the new SSBC kit. It's a long story that I will get into some other time.
Blue, this kit will work with 15" wheels. It's the same size rotor as stock. I wonder if anyone makes paint I could use to paint the parts of the rotors the pads don't touch? It would need to be able to withstand heat. I want to paint them so they don't rust on me and look like crap. I need to paint the cast iron master cylinder too. Of course then brake fluid would be a problem. Mike |

For spindles, you can buy stock ones, or they sell 2" drop spindles in kits with this brake kit. I have two stock height 1-1/4" spindles in the shop that come off my truck.
Just wondering where I would be able to buy them? Im not sure if I need any but I remember looking and not being able to find anything. I'd prefer stock height spindles.

I've been looking at that aluminum dual piston calipers for the front. They look sweet!

Mike, you might consider getting them zinc galvanized. The hot dipping might warp the rotors but they would need to be turned anyway to remove the zinc layer from the friction surfaces. The bearing races would need to be removed. If you did that you would have rotors that would never rust and at the same time provide an excellent base for any paint to stick. Or, you could have them powder coated. You can mask off the friction areas and spindle hole with regular masking tape, it will not burn when the powder is baked on.
-Axle [edit] Powder coating would work well with your master cylinder too.
