Re: Before/After Pics of Blazers/Jimmys
Thought I'd put my two cents worth in just for kicks. My before & after are a little reversed. First one was 35 years ago, second a few weeks ago. Ordered mine new.

Re: Before/After Pics of Blazers/Jimmys
Loading it up to pull home with the Duramax and gooseneck trailer from Kentucky..Note that it is a 72 Jimmy but has a 70 chevy clip and tailgate.
Pulled the top off and put in the windshield frame In goes the windshield and replaced rusted out GMC tailgate with a nice OE Chevy tailgate Pulled off the quarter inch thick steel bumper and replaced it with a OE bumper and replaced hood.I also replaced the drivers side door with a cut down truck door. That was just a first try, eventually I'll get out a nice set to cut up and use...The top is back on it now,BTW Attachment 308961 This winter I plan to put a 4" spring lift in and remove the body lift, put on a better set of OE bumpers, finish the body work,do some work on the top and hatch, and put a cheap flat black paint job on it.. |

Here's mine...pretty solid to begin with.
Well...I thought it was solid. Just after the paint dried. And all put back together.

Re: Before/After Pics of Blazers/Jimmys
I'll help with a bump:
Now I don't have a pic of my rig online when I got it in 1993 but here is what it looked like in 99-2000 33" MudRovers same lift 4"front 5.5" rear 3"body. That is a Kayline top made in 94. Here I am in 2002 w/35" SSRs, had to cut off the Gerry can baskets on my tire carrier to fit the 35" spare. Driving from Cali to Moab & back in 2002. Greg72 & Me 2002 Moab I got rid of my first carrier cuz it was bolted to the bumper & body, not good when flexing. So I built this carrier/bumper, frame mounted. Next mod.2005..look at the badge under the the marker light. Out with the tired 350 in with a Stump Pulling RAT Ta TAT, Fuel Injected 454! Best mod yet! Now Full 1ton = 454/SM465 D60front / 14FF rear / H1 doublebeadlocks

Re: Before/After Pics of Blazers/Jimmys
Now you'll feel great, lol. The oldest pics I've got are dated 2001. I didn't start start posting on the board until 03/04, lol. I've been pickin' away at this for a long time. Lots of bumps in the road of life. I'm actually climbin' over one right now. Its nice having the Blazer to take up my time, better than sittin' on the couch staring at the TV, lol.

[/QUOTE] Yeh, it's been an enjoyable and knowledge packed ride. Funny how owning a truck has brought me to alot of friends. Friends don't let friends buy Fords

Well, I'm not done yet but this is as far as i've gotten. The first pic is the morning after I got it home from Carollton TX. The other is a couple of weeks ago. It has come a long way over the last two years. It's awesome to drive.
