Congrats, you look great dude! (and I don't mean that in a gay sort of way) My wife (Randysgal) had the same surgery done and lost 120 pounds. She also (recently) had a breast lift and tummy tuck. She's looking really hot and feels good about herself too.

Most ive ever wieghed was 379 Now im at around 325 aiming for 290.

How did the doctor determine your ideal wieght?

Any of them online Body mass Calculator say i should wiegh like 190 wich i think is BS
only person ive ever seen that was 6'8 that wieghed under 200 looked like a crack head.

I'm glad for you as everyone else is, but I have a little bit different perspective on weight loss. A little over a year ago (posted this some time ago so some may remember) my 13 year old daughter became anorexic. She went from 154 lb to 85 lb in about 4 months. She had to spend about 3 1/2 months in the University of Iowa Hospitals in an eating disorders program. They got weight back on her but once she got back home she started restricting immediately again. My wife thinks she has her stabilized now at a lesser weight than she should be, but at least she is not losing. So I am proud of you, but I have terribly mixed emotions when someone talks about weight loss. This is just a personal issue with me - again GREAT SUCCESS for you.

The Dr. did the BMI (body mass index) and added some to it due to my big frame. He said 250 would be a "ideal" weight but not something to have to stick with. Just a good idea on what I would be like.

Thanks for everyone's well wishes and for those who have lost their weight great job!!!

My doc told me the BMI indexes are nothing but BS!!! He says you can't generalize people and body types like that. One person's weightloss isn't the same as anothers. Being that I weightlift...I'll never see my "IDEAL" BMI since muscle weighs so much more than fat.... and truthfully, I don't give a rat's ass if I ever do get to 25 on the BMI! I'm at 28 (according to online calculators)or something like that which is down from about 42 or 44!! I feel good..my health is excellent...that's all my doc cares about!

Congrats Brandon! I've lost a total of 71 lbs so far..learned alot going to the diabetes doctor and a nutritionist. Sleep apnea has pretty much disappeared and blood pressure is back to normal. Got so much energy I don't know what to do with it. Still got a LOOOOONG way to go, but I'll get there! Congrats again!
