its called a stock floor cuase the stock floor stays the same as far as your seating position.. so that means it has a new frame rail under the cab that is shorter than the stock frame rail.. and then u move the bodymounts down.

i see, so you would use like steel tube or something like and then just move the mounts down? but on the bed did you cut the floor? and what about the fenders.

If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all.

I agree with Mike, too much wheel.

screwball you sound like a child when you say stuff like that. There are about a million of these trucks on the road and you're concerned about .5% of them being customized? Youre a lunatic. I dont think these trucks are really my style either but different == good.

im sorry but thats just how i feel, the point is that these trucks are slowly going one by one to crushers and junk yards to rust out so theres fewer parts and peices for us that need to do repairs and these guys are chopping up good parts to make modifications? im sorry i just dont agree with it and i stand by my initial comment. Alot of these trucks are classics and almost antiques.
Preservation of the species sometimes requires killing off the self mutilators. (soemthing i heard on the discovery channel lol)

children! do i need to put everyone in seperate corners???? screwball... to each thier own.. if you dont like it.. thats fine.. keep your mouth shut.. dont trash someone elses ride.. world would be rather boring if everyone built thier truck the way YOU wanted it.

Draggnc10.. you have a nice truck and it nice to have you around, but please try to control the language a bit. we are not like other sites.. (fullsizechevy, ck5, or pirate4x4.).. we try to keep this site as family oriented as possible..

we dont need all this back n forth bickering.. if you dont like it, keep your trap shut...

i am lifting a 2wd.. so i am the b@$t@rd child of both the 2wd and 4x4 crowd.. but you know what? i am not building my truck to impress or satisfy anyone else.. but ME!

EDIT: since we are our trucks becoming rare? maybe some of the special models.. but at any given time i see atleast 2-3 73-87s at an intersection..

Our trucks are rare???? LMFAOROFLMAO!!! Holy christ dude....ANyone that thinks 73-87's are rare or not to be seen needs to make a trip to Oklahoma or Texas!! They are a dime a dozen and MANY of them are VERY nice!

Screwball...just be a man and apologize and be satisfied in the fact that you have an opinion that you dont like his truck. He really doesent care. I know I dont care about what 99% of people think of my truck...that is why its MY TRUCK!

Draggin.... I love it man!! Where are you located?

They may not be rare...everywhere, but they are definately rare up here in Minnesota. I see maybe 1-2 81-87's on a daily basis...but hardly ever a 73-80. Rust kills these trucks up here.

Not that my opinion matters either, but I like it. I can appreciate the level of fab work that goes into something like that. Since I can't do it, my ride will not be that low, but it is cool nevertheless.

Uh, isn't the b-word a wirty dord, too!

Lifting a 2wd...haha, loser. Just kidding. I guess I am a "red headed stepchild" (much cleaner language, almost same meaning) as well since I am lifting a 2wd also.

I see a lot of trucks on here that "aren't my thing," but that doesn't mean I wouldn't take them if they were given to me.

Stock is boring and means being like everyone else. It takes much more time, money, and skill to build a custom truck. Besides, most of our trucks look terrible from the factory. Just my opinion though.....

Thumbs up here DRAGGN!!!!!
In 1984 a T-shirt came out in the Streetrod world that said....
Anyone can restore a car but it takes a real man to cut one up.
GOD I LOVED THAT SHIRT!!!!
Now I.F. Customs has one with a saws-all that says "Don't be a sissy"
You know there will always be those purist out there that hate us.
But the cool thing is, all those immaculately restored cars and trucks will one day be CUSTOMIZED by us!!!!!

DraggnC10,
I think your truck's nice. Best part...it's EVEN! Most of the time, you'll see a C10 laying rocker, but STILL the front bumper will be HIGHER..on yours it's ALL even. Looks like you've got a LOT of work into it. I think when you do a truck like that, you almost HAVE to run 20 or 22's, just to say "BLAM BEEOTCH!" Because you did ALL that work, why not let the world know you can TUCK THE BIG STUFF.
