Update...

It's taken just under a week to get a hold of the guy, but here's what I've found out.

He wants $4000-ish CDN for everything. That's too rich for me, it may just be worth that, but not to me at this time tho...so I'll pass.

I asked him about parting with '69-'70 grille shell and he told me he wouldn't on a count he wanted to keep it to try and sell whole unless I had a correct '72 Grille to trade in simliar condition.

This also brought up that he would part body for $3000 CDN. Keep 4wd frame and running gear. As of now he has taken the front axle out from underneath the 'Burb. He's headed to the Barrie Auto Flea Market this weekend and hopes to get $1200 CDN for the DANA 60 there.

If he doesn't sell it whole by the end of the fall he has plans to "drop" the 'Burb and make it a 2wd using Newer 'Burb chassis components as they will bolt right up. Now a question...is any of that last statment true? Will any newer 2wd 'burb frame or suspension just bolt right up without modification?

So that's the news...and just a wee bit more history on the 'Burb. It is a Californian 'Burb. Was brought into British Columbia a few years ago. Spent the last year in Ontario and pulled for most of this summer (3 months). This is where he acuired it in it's present form.

Ron, if you want to call him about anything. PM or E-mail me and I will give you his phone #. The 'Burb is located about 1km South of Springmount...which is a 2 minute drive west of Owen Sound. He may buge on those prices, but I wasn't really interested bartering with him as it wasn't really going to get me anywhere. He could tell I was "younger" so he seemed pretty firm on his pricing and reasoning for it. Don't get me wrong tho he seems to be a real nice guy on the phone. Just think price a little too steep for a pretty big project time and money wise.

Did he drop another axle under the front of it after he pulled the Dana 60, kind of a hard sell for $4000 if it isn't even rolling. Oh well don't need another project. Besides I want to keep my options open in case a guy near me gets a little more reasonable on a 68 firebird he's selling.

As far as parts go I'd only be after a third row seat from the burb. Pretty much all of the other large parts I've got.
