Christopher Columbus convinced the Queen of England to commission six ships to find the " New World" which he was looking for India because he was wanting to trade some spices and myrth or something like that.By the way it was his fouth voyage. My point is don't trust everything that comes down the pike. But sometimes like in the case of Chrisopher a chance taken can produce world of opportunity.

One of three things is happening here....
1) This is a big joke. Remember the xxxxx thread? That guy posted one time and started a HUGE thread.
2) This guy is new and doesn't know how much attention this thread would draw. Seeing a subject like this is like a confused deer surrounded by 20 hungry lions.
3) Something may have happened in his life that is preventing him from replying to this.
Personally I think it's

Well here is your info

Ok for those that need parts I will be getting back to you soon. For the nice folks that are being so kind as to say I am a crook. What the hell is your guy's problem I have no need to rip anyone off. My dad knew a guy who had is own salvage yard from back in the day he got pestered by the county so they all had to go. I bought a big bunch of his trucks because I wanted to make sure they could be put to use instead of crushed. While transporting these trucks I met other salvage yard owners who have a bunch of stuff as well and they are interested in selling. So I figured put them on the net and get them sold some of the trucks are better than others. Some run most don't. I am learning the prices and I am new to this. I had no clue people would be such a@$holes over someone trying to help out the automotive hobby. If your interested in parts good I will email you pics of what you want and you can make me a offer. My name is Patrick. I am located in Iowa and my email is fz700t@hotmail.com if you want to call me my number is 515-298-0469.

hehe...

sorry, just some "That 70's show" humor...

anyways, I think I can speak for most people, that there was no harm intended,
but this buisness can bring a lot of crooks, and fakes. Welcome from Maryland, and for the most part, the people on this board are good people, and are very glad that you have an interest in helping. I think you are a little too far West for me...but I am sure there are plenty of people that you can help.

Patrick first welcome to the board
Second you have to understand alot of us have been on this board a long time and seen posts every once in awhile like this.
To those of us into these vehicles your first post was like the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
Once a year the single post shows up and gets 100 or more replies then nothing.
If you get a chance to reread the replies you'll see that no one implyed that you were a crook just that it was hard to believe. We all welcome new input and would like to have you feel welcome on the board.
How about some background on where you are located and do you drive a 68-72?
You will find this to be a pretty close knit family of truck lovers!!

Welcome to the board from South Mississippi! Even tho the first impression of the board wasn't too good, do us a favor and stick around. It's really a pretty cool place to be.

Welcome from good ole WV, heres a idea that might help. Since you have so many to part out. Make a list of the good stuff and inventory as you go. Then you can PM the folks that has asked for parts. just to say you have parts can open a can of worms LOL!! Think you found that out already. Theres a lot of good guys and gals here. So take the some time and put the stuff together and everyone will be happy. Well almost theres always a few that isn't, but thats life anyhow!! LOL!! Have fun and enjoy!!!

Says he's got no blazers, emailed him and asked. Got a fairly quick response. One thing that makes me a bit nervous is he says no looking at them because he's afraid of theft after selling some parts off of a couple old cougars he says he had some midnight pick-a-part thieves taking things and now keeps them in a remote location. I would be skeptical of this one until I either see parts (as in, meet him) or see pictures of parts.

40 Trucks

Hi Patrick from Minnesota, its too bad you got so much crap from a lot of the truck club people, something about this board that Ive learned the short time Ive been involved is that EVERYONE wants all the rare items and nobody wants to pay ANYTHING for them, its like a giant scavenger hunt and everybodys a vulture. Theres a lot of people out there that have truck collections and they have 10, 20, or 50 trucks, We'vbe got around 30 or 40 parts trucks also, a lot of high optioned trucks, Watch yourself Patrick, take care and dont give the stuff away, Ill call you and talk to you later, Don in Minnesota..........................................................................................

HI DON... THANKS FOR THAT GLOWING DESCRIPTION OF HOW YOU PERCEIVE ALL OF THE MEMBERS OF THIS BOARD. IS THIS YOUR IDEA OF ADVERTISING??? BY CALLING EVERYBODY VULTURES??? SMOOOOOTH MOVE.I PROBABLY SEE MORE OF THESE TRUCKS IN A WEEK THAN YOU SEE BACK IN MINNYSODA IN A YEAR. WE HARDLY EVER IMPORT PARTS FROM THE RUST BELT OUT HERE TO THE DESERT. I FOR ONE WONT BE DOING ANY BUSINESS WITH YOU, & I DON'T CARE IF YOURE SELLING TACH DASHES & TOW HOOKS FOR $2 EACH.
DORKYDORK ... TAKE THIS GUYS ADVICE, & I BET YOU HAVE 40 TRUCKS FOR SOME TIME TO COME. JOHN

sadly you must not know EVERYONE then... I and many others I know are willing to pay for the stuff we need... I agree with JYJ, not the best way to promote yourself.

Don, I'm real disappointed in that comment, should I tell about the time you came down here and I gave you some GOOD prices on stuff and you still wanted to JEW me down on my price at the end. Sounds like you may be talking about yourself when you try to give Dorkydork some advice!!!!!!!! I appreciate your business but you need take a step back and think about how you talk about others.

I am also offended by the remarks. It is human nature to ask for the lowest price. That is business. To be labeled a vulture is rude. Also a human trait but less desireable than most.
I have met many wonderful people from this board. And purchased many parts from some of them as well as many I will probably never meet. I have been given parts and given some away. Been taken on some and been greatly surprised by some.
One thing to consider is this. I am sure that many of us have met other board members. Usually in the region that we live. We do not just talk on this board. Many of us have exchanged phone numbers and e-mail. We talk about kids, dogs, trucks, life and PEOPLE on this board. Sometimes in regard to a certain thread or certain person or comment.
There is much that goes on behind the scenes. We may be a large family on the board and a closer family in our areas. But every family has a cousin Eddy.
I have had disagreements with several on this board. But I disagree with my brother on things too.
I think that such a blanket statement is unfair and should be cleared up. If it was an error, so be it. If it was truly the way you feel, so be that.
I for one appologize if I have ever offended you.
And remember, there is always Ebay, other boards and the want ads. Vultures are everywhere.

40 Trucks

All Im saying is that if you need a part for your truck and you want it bad enough, most people would pay a fair price for their parts, I needed an am fm for a project so I went to ebay and bought a real one for 200 bucks because I needed it and I wanted it, I consider that a fair price, Ive seen them sell for over 400 bucks on ebay and for as little as 100 bucks, buying factory am fms for these trucks for 40 or 50 bucks or even 75 bucks wont happen anymore, the same with tilts, up here in Minnesota, a real tilt is fairly priced for about 200 to 225 bucks, thats reality, 75 to 100 dollar truck tilts are gone, if you need one or want one they are available for a price. Im sorry if I offended anybody but it always seems like everyones looking for the same parts. I think bucket seats and speedwarnings are about the hardest options to come by, they are worth the money people want for them because they bring the value of a truck up. Lets all be cool about Pat in Iowa, hes got the trucks and he wants to work with people, give him some time to organize his stuff and he will get back to you, Again Im sorry but lets get back to the thread.........
