Thanks, it took many years and very supportive wife to make this happen! I have been to a couple of shows now and I am surprised how few original style trucks there are left. Maybe you and I should plan to meet, with our trucks, next August long weekend in Saskatoon for SuperRun? I am hoping to get there.

Sorry. another time. Two reasons
1 I work weekends. 2 that weekend is the first one I book off because it is a special weekend for my family. I would like to see that truck up close. Mine is only original because not too much has been done to it. Only fix whats broke.

I didn't originally plan on doing it this fast, but as a couple of you know, this past May my Father was diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer, and he really wanted to see the truck and ride in it. He was a retired Chevrolet dealer, so he was really interested in my project from the start. In fact, I remember one night the phone rang around 10:45 pm, and my wife called me in to say my Dad was on the phone; I said "Hello?" and he said: "Hey Randy, are you going to use that new base coat clear coat paint on your truck?" (bear in mind he had been out of the car business for several years), "Yes" I replied. "OK, good" he said, and hung up. Many times (before he got sick) he'd tell me that I had to take the truck back home to where he lived and where I grew up, to show "the guys" at the dealership the truck when it was finished. The cancer was very aggressive, and he passed away this past August, but I did finish the truck before he died, and even though he was too weak to take a ride by the time I finished, he was still really excited to hear that I had it back on the road.
