Guys, I sent this guy a message asking if it was available. He said he wants to keep it to make a "suburban camper", "something different". Myself and SuperDuck will be out and about this weekend and we are going to try and run over by there...I will try to get you some pics of it if he will let me. Tim

superduck- I am behind a firewall at work and had the same troubles accessing ebay. I found a way to get in. Sometimes after a search or certain links will give me a "forbidden by ratings check", but for the most part I can move around freely. Try this link. http://pages.aol.ebay.com/ebaymotors/

The white one is pretty sweet does anyone have anymore info on the camper/blazer line up are there any production #s? A blazer canper or an early open road type of camper would be killer to own...

The one on ebay also has 67 door handles and a 67 glovebox door. And it has the 3 spoke wheel as Jeff mentioned. I'd still like to see pictures of it, I like 67-72 chassis campers....

The camper installed on the white Blazer is a 4-Wheel Pop-Up (brand name). I have actually scene quite a few and my first 72 K5 had one on it. That white one looks identical to one that was on ebay last year in Colorado. I went and looked at it and drove it. Very, very clean original Blazer. The auction ended without the reserve being met although I would have paid that much, just not a second person to bid it up. Guy didn't want to sell it after that!?

Anyway, the campers are somewhat "built in". It bolts onto the side rails and utilizes the Blazer tub floor. A pedestal mount is bolted to the floor to hold a table. The table could be taken down and combined with the couch to form another bed. Often times the original top was cut and remained from the windshield frame to just behind the front seats and them the front of the camper was sealed to the top. They also removed the top completely and framed it out from the bottom of the overhang down to where the windows would seal on the original top. Basically plywood painted white with weatherstripping stapled on. I thought it was a home job the first time I saw it but there are several out there identical to it.

They're neat but eliminates your rear seating for passengers unless they sit on the couch with no seat belts. 4-Wheel Pop-Ups were also manufactured for early and full-size broncos. They no longer make them for these applications and now all their campers are slide in models. Here is a link to the closest thing they have now. The floor plan is identical still to what was available for the 1st gens.

I would love to still own one but not practical with 3 kids!
