Not only quicker, but actually within a couple of weeks of when it was promised!

Yeah, I've been meaning to talk to you about that. As I understand it, you're quite the seasoned veteran on cab swaps. Hmmm...

Just some extra wheel clearance for the front tires when I'm turning. It gets kind of tight in there when the truck is on the ground.

See my truck site at one of the links under my sig. There are several progress pics and a quick-and-dirty Pshop of the dash concept.

No kidding. For a while I thought I was going to have to give up on this cab swap altogether.

I'm excited about getting the dash back together to see it in real life. I still need to find somebody to machine out the bezel (and bribe slammed67 to finish CAD'ding it out for me).

I was planning on shaving the passenger one, but When I started this project I was living in MA. RMV regs require that they both be on the vehicle. Now that I'm in KS, it's apparently a free-for-all on such things. I don't mind them being on there, however. I do actually drive this thing.

Yes, vents and antenna are filled.

Only when you drag something important off the bottom of the truck (which means it wasn't in a very good place)

You have that.... many guys wont realize the top was chopped(unless she is parked next to a stocker ).......but they will walk around the truck, & try to figuer out just WHY it looks better than the rest of the chevs they have seen crazyL

The cab is finally home! We pulled it off the trailer just a few miutes ago (the body guy delivered!)... He had to do a FULL rework of the suicide doors because of the last guy's foobar. He also brought me a "sheet" of the previous paint job that was torn off with a power washer And... (this is the scary part)... he was very close to his commitment date AND he didn't try to jack up the price after he put much more time in it than planned. I'd better get the rest of my paint work done before the fumes get to him and he turns into 'the body man from hell.'

Well... tomorrow I'll be 0x28 years old... and the cab is STILL not on this thing! But, the old cab _is_ off the truck (as is the rest of the sheetmetail... it's just a rolling frame, drivetrain, and core support right now. Yeah! Progress. Pics if I remember my camera next time.
