On the 84:
I know I still own it because I pass it everyday getting into the daily driver. I'm going to try and get it back on the ground, upgrade the air ride stuff...again and get the body moving in the direction of paint... On the other car (Marge) I'm going to try and keep it until after the summer show season, I'm known not to keep them very long but I need to try on this one so I can make the summer shows without borrowing a car......I'm sure Ken has a comment for me...... |

Started working on my AC delete yesterday & took the wife out last night. We went to my MIL's today for dinner & sat @ for most of the afternoon. Tonight I fiberglassed the AC delete & tomorrow I plan on doing a little finish bondoing & painting it black. Thats about it for me...corn

here we go.....this may seem a little much, but i like to aim high and go from there
back half (shorten 14", 12" notch, 2 link with track bar, cantilevered bag set up) stock floor body drop...btw on a one ton its not just a couple of inches, its 4" or more!! 2"-4" Z-ed frame...depending on how much to lay rocker on 24's complete shave job...handles, locks, tailgate, rooflines, antenna, gas door and all of this has to be done before my birthday on may 5, 2005. but the catch is ive got 10K to throw at it...thats the fun part!!! gotta love equity!! P.S. i will be posting all pics on all of the work im gonna do...with lots of detail Last edited by slammd72; 01-02-2005 at 03:04 AM. |

well with the 76 i want to get it running for starters and then we will see where it goes
the 86 i want to get the trans in it ( hurry up school and open so we can get it there) then i started accumulating interior cab window trim and headliner pieces so i want to get the interior in it maybe finish amassing the AC parts throwing that stuff in there putting carpet and floor down repairing the cab corners and painting it of course the whole thing is for sale the whole time SO if anyone wants to make a decent offer its gone

We are having twins in May so my time will be limited--I pick up my '91 Burb tomorrow so I will play around with it the first couple of months--gotta get the hood and roof painted, decent tires and wheels (has 235/75 on it now which looks tiny on the beast), new stereo and yank the hideous running boards and get the windows tinted. As for the '79 it still runs great but it likely won't see much improvement this year. . .

This year, I HAVE to get her back on the road. She has been sitting for way too long. Also plan on starting to sand down the body and see what I am really working w/. Hopefully find a new bed or at good beside to replace my damaged one and get the interior painted for now. As long as I can get her up an running again, I will be happy.
