1st pic: bodyline and tail lights are lower than production trucks
2nd pic: no rain gutters (but I guess that would be correct for 73)
3rd pic: low front sidemarker, no rain gutters (but I guess that would be correct for 73)

I think that may be it.

To be honest, you guys found some I didn't even notice.

Cool pics. Hopefully you will get higher res versions.

My Dad had a 3/4 ton longbed stepside when I was a kid. It was ugly, and he made it uglier by mounting a shortbed camper shell on it. He mounted it on the back of the bed because it had a large, home made gas tank at the front of the bed. He didn't want to gas me with the fumes when I rode in the back.

The suburban looks like they were trying to make it look like a Nomad.

Great find Jeff. I love assembly line pictures for some reason.
Good job!

Its funny they put these trucks in a wind tunnel.

looks like leaf springs and a pumpkin in the front on those frame pictures to me... Also, the springs look very big (one ton) and the rear drums seem to have the full floater hub sticking out. But then again, it is hard to tell. Anybody else?

Sweet photos!

I've seen photos of Jeep's Toledo assembly line where my Jeep was made. Like these C/K photos, it's REALLY cool to see how they were made on the assembly line...

1st Pic: The tailights are also have "three compartments", similar to 94 Mustangs...

2nd and 3rd pic, front fender crease goes all the way to the bottom of the fender, vs. turning back towards the front fender well.

We did something similar to this on my Blazer. When you shave the molding off, it leaves you with a crease on the lower half of the fender to the wheel opening. We filled it in so the crease just plays out and the lower part of the front fender is smooth.

Great pics Jeff, thanks for your diligence in acquiring and posting these pics.
Greg.
