I own both an 85 and a 72 ( both 2x4) and I love both of them, but I prefer to drive the 85.

Hey, now there's an idea! I could have both...

Let's see. One truck (which the wife has finally warmed up to after a year) and keep the wife. Two trucks and no wife. I'll keep one truck and a wife. But wait, somebody said chicks dig trucks. I could get twice the chicks with two trucks! No... I'm ugly, but not dumb. 2x0=0. Scratch that idea.

Hey, here's some advice for bringing home a new old truck. Wait until the significant other is having friends over to bring it home. That way they can't get too mad and yell in front of them. It buys time and worked pretty well for me. My wife's friends got a kick out of it and still talk about it. I think I'll start another thread on this.

Later...

It is easier to ask for forgiveness than it is to ask for permission. I woulkd buy it, drag it home, and be shunned for a week. You could probably use the quiet anyway.

Do what my dad used to do...."Honey, it's not my truck, it's my dad's, he wants me to drive it for a while to make sure it runs right." This worked about twice.... worth a shot!
