Just picked up my 2000 SWB standard cab 4.8 auto 2wd with (cringe) 130,000 miles on it. Beautiful truck, runs like a champ, and I picked it up for $6300. Had a fiberglass bed cover on it, didn't like it at first, but now I realize I have and 6ft trunk. Ordered and recieved and are waiting to put on my 3/4 belltech drop and slam air helper rear air bags. Also did a billet grill and built a custom box for 2 12" subs in it. Begining of next month I am getting some 16" esclade wheels for it. Then I am done. Back to getting rid of the body dropped 69 and shoving the rockwells and 48" under the 85 K90.

Yeah it's plywood I put it in so I can haul my dirt bikes and not trash the bed floor and sides and I think spray in liners look like crap. Also if you ever had to take any of that crap oo its a real *****,I know this because I've had to do it to repair box floors for repair.

How does the 4.8 pull that tractor? My truck has the 4.8 and I have never pulled anything very heavy behind it.

It did great! I pulled it from MO to here in Tx when the truck was less than six months old. The trailer weighed roughly 2000lbs and the tractor weighs roughly 3500 lbs. I didn't make the trip very quickly, but it pulled fine. I also use it occasionally to pull our bass boat and you can't hardly tell it's back there.

Here is my 99 1/2 ton Ext Cab short box Z71
It has the 5.3 and it's an auto. It's stock, I'd like to put dual exhaust, tires/wheels and a modified PCM; only problem is the price of gas is killing me and hindering my modification plan
