Hi from south central Michigan. We have the salt here too. fortunately My truck came from California so it has no rust. Now if the weather would just co-operate so I could work on it. We just had three beautiful days and now it's crappy again. Oh well soon it will be nice again.
Do you have a welder and the other tools for bodywork? If not then you'd be better off replacing the cab if you can find one. Good luck and enjoy your hobby and these boards. There is a ton of information in the Faqs and the search function will find you posts on about anything you want to know. Post some pics and let us see what you have. vettevet

Welcome from Southern NJ!! I'm not that far from you either! You should contact board member 51 68Chevy. He lives in Atco, NJ. I think he is parting a decent 67/8 LWB truck. I know he has a 68' 50th anniversary cab with the roof cutoff of it that you may be able to use for a patch panel... If you can't get a hold of him, PM me, I know where he lives and I have his #.
