That looks nice. I remember when I was a kid, my brother had a 70 chevy and he installed the CD player in the glovebox like that. It looked just like that but I think it was more in the middle than to the side like that. I remember he had plans to face it with black granite or something, but I can't recall if he ever did that or not.

Cool install. I did the same thing in '92 with my '62 Impala, except I had a Clarion cassette deck with the Pioneer 10 disc changer, 380 amp, and 2-10's in the trunk. (Hey, I was a kid and it was 'Da Bomb' back then) The car came radio delete and was all original with only 60k miles. Couldn't bring myself to hack 'er up and the glove box in those models is RIGHT next to the driver. Put the antenna and all 6 inside speakers under the seats(2-6x9's, 2-6 1/2's, 2-3" tweets). With the glove box closed, looked bone stock, but it ROCKED.
Great job on yours. Glad to see a good idea still works. I'd hate to see a modern stereo stuffed in the dash of a classic!

Very nice ibstall diane did that with her blazer and used the repeater and it worked really well..
