Here is where I had it mounted on the truck that Phil bought. It was in the same general location on the Suburban that I "harvested" it from. I just used an existing hole in the firewall for mounting. The wires are not shown in this pic.

Yes, it worked well. The only problem I had was I drive through about a mile of twisting road with hills and valleys-it would sometimes down shift a little sooner than I expected, but at least it didn't lug the motor as it did when I got it. The PO had installed a 5/16" ball above the TCC to make it lock as soon as it shifted into OD. That was no fun when driving through the same stretch of road.

Right now I have the TCC solenoid wired directly to my brake switch, so it locks as soon as it shifts into OD. It's a pain if I'm driving slow in a residential neighborhood because it really lugs the engine if I try to accelerate a little. I find myself stomping on the gas a lot to get it to shift into 3rd.

The part number of the little delay valve is 14020691 for anybody who is interested.
