I was feeling we may be intimidating on a new guy.No offense. But,there must be a reason no one has done this. And,I guess you heard the reasons.Go ahead, follow the trend(for some),go bigger, pimp yo ride. Please, just don`t alter the truck to where it can`t be brought back to normal when the fad moves on and your truck is still a classic. And,whatever you do,watch for imperfections in the pavement! Those things bend easy, cost alot, and the tires give little cushion. Not the most practicle trend. It`s ok for Porches and Ferraris. Not a heavy truck,IMO.They went that way for tighter cornering and bigger brakes for racing(on a track).

i want 20s on my truck, if i had like a 2000 burb i MIGHT do 22s but it wouldnt be lowered at all. 24"+ might look cool on a truck that had some 44s or something. i know that 20s looks bad ass on 38s

I think the problem you would run in to trying to lay frame with 24's will be fender clearance. The trucks I have seen with 22's already had to remove wheel wells, notch the fenders and relocate the hood hinges. I would doubt from what I have seen that you could fit 24's without reworking the tops of the fenders\hood.

I was trying to see if anyone else has done it so i could have an idea on what it would look like. I dont need people to tell me what looks cool or not. Like stated it is mine and i will do what i want. And what i meant by the wrong crowd is that some people like stock looking and mild built up trucks. Then there are others that go like to see crazy things done. No offense to anyone. Thank you

The search function is down right now but you might try browsing through the posts on the suspension board for pics w\22's and get an idea of what it took to fit those.

I have seen a set of 24's on a 71 stepside sitting at factory height. It is just wrong. There is no way that he would be able to tuck the rims at all. The wheel openings aren't big enough. It just wouldn't look right. JMO.

I think the only thing that looks worse than the 24's on the Chevy Caprices were the short wide rims that they punks put on the Hondas about 15 years ago.

Yeah, the WRONG kind of attention!! To each his own, but look at the pic of those Impala's and ask yourself; Do I want my truck to look like that? If your answer is yes, then more power to ya. Just thank God you don't live in my town, cause you'd be laughed at worse than a Pink Ford.

I have 22's on the back of mine and if i had it to do all over again i would have gone with just 20's. Its really just a matter of preference but it also becomes a matter of function and anything over 22" is going to be a nightmare to make work and in the end i dont think the work would justify the results. Like i said, i have 22's and imo they dont look quiet right. I thought 20's looked too small but 22 is dawm big on one of these trucks, 24" is just insane. I'd like to see it if you can make it work though.
