FOUND IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you !!! Had a caller off one of my posters, it was in a field on st. paul / lees mill rd intersection (south hampstead)nothing missing !!! just a broken switch, out of gas and a nasty rod knock. could be much worse. Im not happy about it getting stolen and f-ed up but very happy I found it as I had basic coverage.
thanks God ther eare good people out there a delivery truck driver called me about it and refused to take the reward. Just wanted someone to help him if he ran into the same situation . Great !!!! Thanks to the police for getting out there quick to meet us and print it. bad thing is they sprayed everything down with a can of wd I had behind the seat so they could not get any good prints. Ok who has a strong 350 / 400 sbc to sell |

Glad to hear you found it!! Maybe they'll get lucky and find the person/people who stole it as well.

Congrats on the recovery!!! I had someone steal my 2002 C3500 cube van at work one day. Found it a few hrs later. Turned out a few kids took it for a ride and ditched it in a field. Bastards stole my car keys and my cell phone. I ended up gettin the cell phone back about 3 months later after a little girl found it in a tire about 100 miles from where the truck was stolen. Ended up finding a # on the phone that the theifs called. Police knew who did it with the # but wouldnt do anything to pursue it?? Got the truck back though!! Only had 2 broken mirrors!!

Bummer that you couldn't get any prints. Glad you got your truck back. Did it have any engine problems before? I'd take a broken switch and a rod knock over no truck anyday. Could be much worse..........Jerry

Check the torque converter bolts first, maybe if they were "running it hard" the they might have started backing out. My brother in laws '86 4x4 was like that when he bought it, the guy thought he had a rod knock after running it hard and turned out after my b-i-l bought it, it was just the torque converter bolts. Tightend them up after applying some loc-tite and away we went. ..........Jerry
