Mine are black on grey...used to be difficult to use but then i got used to grabbing the black instead of grey. Plus the scroll wheel comes in handy

for those having the problem, easiest way to fix is to adjust the monitor's brightness and contrast settings... worked for me..

I said nothing about the body, table or cell colors. I don't mind the grey/white etc. I was suggesting the link/visited link colors.

Quote:
Me too, and this blue/black link thing going on stinks.
Those who have not set their browsers to override a site's setting can go to the 4X4 board and see a link/visited link scheme that works much better.

I don't know why you're yelling at me anyway. You said it had nothing to do with Josh's settings, I said it did. Josh even put a poll up a while back about color settings. http://64.246.42.114/vboard/showthre...threadid=14512. Notice that "red" won. That's all that I was suggesting. I seriously doubt that Josh needs help changing colors. He's pretty sharp about those sort of things, especially on his own board. If he decides that it needs to be changed, all he has to do is do it.

I've seen what he's talking about on some other computers I use and it is annoying. My home computer is fine. I agree that the scroll bars could offer much better contrast. Not everybody has a 200 dollar video card and new monitor.

Thumbs up

I'm running Win98SE and an older ATI video card, with the contrast between the scroll bar and background being black and almost black. I'm almost used to it, and I think that's a small price to pay for the functionality of the new board.

Everything works fine here.
I use
Netscape 4.7
Explorer 5.5
Opera 6.1
Must be the users own settings.

I'm with Rod on this one, I've tried all 3 of those browsers on this board, with 0 problems. Josh can't keep everyone happy, and that's obvious, but he does run the best damn site on the internet, so therefore, even though there might be a few things that I don't like, but can live with, I don't *****.

On my computer at home, they are "normal" with Netscape or Explorer. On my laptop they are black and as far as I can tell no amount of playing with the personal settings will fix it, because it is just this website. If you change the settings to fix this one, every where else you go will be screwed up. But it doesn't matter to me, I manage quite well even with a touchpad. If it really bothers you go buy a scrollbar mouse. If you wanted it fixed, "please" seems to work better than "fix the damn scroll bar". Just for sh!ts and grins, heres what it looks like on my laptop.

My scroll bar was the normal color until I upgraded to Windows Explorer 6.0. Now I have the black and gray. It is only on this site. I like the old style better, but this is useable. If I could figure out how to change my browser for just this site I would. I am not complaining, just trying to bring out some facts as to why not everyone has the same color.
