pontiac 455, purple hornie glass packs, 3" alluminized pipe out the sides before the rear wheels, they will hear ya for miles! I love it! You dont need a radio when you have asweet sounding v8!

my 70 has 40 series muffs on it dumped befor the rear axle and sounds really cool when you idle or lay the hammer down. FUN,FUN

AHHH bolt some glassbacks straight to the headers its all you really need,oh might aswell take out your stereo,and put in a delete plate.
I am a open header believer to,just wont do so early next time,ive been pulled over before withem in my 440,now thats a hot sounding open headered motor,had a 280 Comp Cam,headers,Holley,it was LOUD,decided to run to store.end of my street around corner 2 motorcycle cops,and i was romping on it all the way down the street,but tried to idle by them,pointed at me pull it over.Dude was cool,lifted the hood,bs for a moment,managed to slip in man i am broke now,put all my money in it(hoping to get sympathy)got no ticket,just a take it home now,and a lightem up.NO problem sir!!!he was cool!!! had was talking about some race car he has and had to do some open headered test runs to sometimes to see if it was faster. |

I have headers, 2.5" pipe, and 40 seires Flowmasters that just end above and ahead of the rear axle. No turndowns or anything. It sounds really deep, and throaty. But, it is also pretty damn loud, which i like (im 17) . I like the looks of pipes straight out the back myself, but they sound better inside the cab if you run them out the sides.

im putting a trailer hitch on my pickup and my pipes coming out hte back are in the way. i dont want to be able to see them either. if i cut them off as they turn down after the axle will that burn the wood? anybody done this? thanks, Ben
