Gentlemen I beleive the conduct on this board is whoever answers the post first on the board for all to see is the next in line. No pm.s first dont count. I do not buy these parts to resell if that comment was directed at me. It is not who gets their first with the money wins. We have an unwritten rule here and it should be followed to keep it fair and to keep everybody happy. I am just a working stiff trying to collect enough parts over a few years to eventually build a truck or two. I am just waiting to hear from him like everybody else.

He is right. This is how it works. Not who gets money to the person first.

I haven't heard anything.

Also, it doesn't seem that unspoken rule is used all too often.

PM's have been used to buy parts in spite of open posts on threads. I guess this board is like any other in that it's seller's preference. I know when I have sold items here and on other boards, I've had people say they would take it, I hold it and never hear from them, losing out on a sale.

Grendel I see what you mean. I think a person should have a day to send the money if they are first in line or other arrangements have been made. If we don.t adhere to some type of protocol we will have so much fighting and bickering /name calling nobody will trust or buy from this board. Maybe the moderators should step in and explain the rules (if thier is any) I also have lost some killer deals on here from not being first or a slippery pm.

I wholeheartedly understand.

When I put together a post, I try to be clear about what I expect. Right now, it's difficult for me, as I have all the time and a little bit of money to knock out my project and alot of this stuff is near enough to day trip and grab.

I also think it's the seller's job to specify terms. The mods really have quite enough to do!

Well, we talked about some California sheet metal a while back. I live in NH.

Sad thing (to keep this on topic) is that I have to drive to Hartford on Wednesday for a job interview, so I would spin over and look at this stuff.

Not a problem. Gave many people something to talk about

I am still interested in what I mentioned plus I would like to know if you have other things you did not originally list.

Some of can probably get your computer to work better by coaching you to run some onboard utilities. You are probably just having a memory crunch or a terrible dial-up connection.
