BTW, a few posters mentioned sealing the bolts. I think Edelbrock's Gasgacinch works great for sealing the bolts and as a gasket sealer. Other sealers work well or even better to seal gaskets, but Gasgacinch seal perfectly fine, allows one to reposition the gasket when aligning it, and it removes easily for future cover removals. Little or no scraping of residue. Peals away most times and balls up easy. Good for intake gaskets, too.

When I took the NAPA/Victor Reinz gaskets back today, the NAPA parts guy said that they have a Tuff Cork version of the cover gasket. All you have to do is add "TC" to the end of the part number to get the cork version. Might be worth a comparison, but I think Felpro's rubberized? gasket would be better than cork. Just a guess, at this point. I didn't want to trouble the parts guy just to make a comparison when I was satisfied with Felpro's cover gasket.
Man, who knew so much could be said about a couple gaskets? I hope I don't talk too much.

4x4...it's the little things that make for a perfect 100 pt. restoration. Unfortunately...here I am going a little overboard on some things. My son told me I was going to have to clear coat the DP90 so I just used some old gloss black engine paint for the the diffy cover. Now I am thinking maybe I should have the entire rearend powder coated...LOL!
BTW...I went with the P39130...looks fine. If I find something different in the assembly or rebuild manual, I will go back for the cork.

Hey guys I’m in need of some spider gears and pin for my rear end! Can someone please shed some light on this for me I want to go back original where can I get parts for this! Please I’ve been down for two weeks I love driving my truck! Everyone I talk to says go to 14 bolt but I’ve had them in other trucks and break them my half ton stuff holds up better than the 14 bolt! I need parts!
