I used 15x6" ralleys w/3" drop spindles. No cutting or grinding was required. It's all about the backspace.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

They were 15x6 vette ralleys w/3.5" BS (aftermarket wheels). I used these for a couple of months while I was making sure my alignment was good (so I wouldn't chew up my 245-45-18's).

Thanks guys,

Looks like I wil just go with bigger rims, because I do not want to have to trim My A-arms at all. Any issues with 16's? I am still looking for a good deal on some 20's, but nothin that has jumped out at me yet. Anyone getting new rims and want to sell their old 20's LET ME KNOW!! I am in the market.

I've got some 17's that will be coming available sometime in the (hopefully) relatively near future. They'll require quite a bit of elbow grease to bring them back to life, but they'll be priced right.

Jared,

I wouldn't be so sure about that! If I remember correctly while back some one got jumped for saying they had 3 inch bell techs. To my knowledge they do make make a 3" spindle. I dont remember who made the post, but I do remember there being one.

Any ways looks like I will just need to grab some bigger wheels.

I ran 15x8's with 4" of BS and had to grind down the top portion of the spindle about 1/16" so they wouldn't rub the wheel.

I have BellTech 3" drop spindles on my 74. Yes, BellTech is cast into the back of the spindles & they were confirmed to be a 3" drop w/a tape measure.
