Re: 4-link and a turtle?
Have you measured the driveshaft loop on the xmember after the mod? From the picture, I suspect it will hit the cab pretty hard... unless you're tunneling the cab. If so... we need pics

Re: 4-link and a turtle?
I expect it to hit the cab pretty hard too, so yes it will get tunneled, I havent gotten the cab back on the truck since I took it off though. There will be lots of progress in a few months

Re: 4-link and a turtle?
Pics comin soon... I just got more work done but im waiting for them to upload.
rancid - the rear tires are 285/50 r18, I forgot exactly how tall that is there is a converter somewhere online im sure el curioso - Ill get a better pic of the front, but what I did was cut a hole in the side of the crossmember and I am using a gromet to protect the hose. Kenneth - I dont have a template on a computer, I just made one out of cardboard first and then once that fit i cut it out of a sheet.

Re: 4-link and a turtle?
Are your ART arms missing the bushing washers and nuts? Or have you not put them on yet?

Re: 4-link and a turtle?
Fletch4x4,
I really like you set-up. I'm running the front arms and bags minus the sectioned crossmember. On the back I have the KP notch, and slams re7s, with the under the bed bracket kit. I order the parallel 4-link. Any helpful hint for the install of the 4-link? Pinion angle or anything to watch for? Thanks for any suggestions. |

Re: 4-link and a turtle?
The 4 link is a universal kit, so I kinda just fixed the issues as i came across them. I had leaves so there was a dimple in the frame right where i had to mount the bracket, some cuttin and grinding was necessary. The panhard bar that I got with the kit im not really using anymore in favor of some kind of watts link. I just dont have the room for any movement of the axle side to side. these are probally more related to the truck being so low and wont matter in your case.
There was a good thread reacently on here about pinion angle- I have it set at 0 right now, but all the brackets are tacked and I was waiting untill I get the engine/tranny in to see how it all looked. Hopefully Im going to be doing that soon. I have the engine ready to be cleaned up right now. Oh, one last thing with the 4 link measure more times than you think you need to. You dont want to be goin down the road crooked

Re: 4-link and a turtle?
i'm guessing that your not goin to box the frame in by the notch seeing how you've painted it already huh? any reason?

Re: 4-link and a turtle?
Probally not... but i still have some other frame work to deal with. The paint is just there to keep it from being covered in rust again. Im not afraid the grind it off.

Re: 4-link and a turtle?
What type of fitting are you running from the air bag to the brake line?
Would you happen to have any part numbers for the actual hoses? Have you had the opportunity to take some close ups of where the line leaves the cross member?

Re: 4-link and a turtle?
i would box it in just for safe measure. it's gonna be pretty weak w/ that big gap between the notches like that.
