I think it would look best if only the front markers were done.

Sorry to go back to the beginning of this thread but my 68 that I had in high school had the lights in the side markers from the factory. I know this because my Grandfather bought the truck new and never did anything to the truck except for maintenance. Was that rare?

Yes, that was a fairly rare option... Onless it had dual rear wheels, then it was manditory.
