Re: my radical 4x4 dually project
Seriously cool truck how much of a pain was it to mount the chevy cab to the dodge frame ? Have the dodge truck sans body and 69 cab etc was seriously thinking the same deal with a focus more on work truck than show yours looks to be a truck worthy of showing off and very often keep us posted Mike

Re: my radical 4x4 dually project
in response to muddyole 69, the mounting of the cab and frontclip was much easier than i thought it would be. i removed the dodge cab mounts completely, then i hung the cab and front end over the frame from an overhead gantry, i centered the wheelwells and lowered cab down as much as i thought i could get away with then fabbed some blocks to temp hold everything in place ithen checked some clearances. if it wasn't for the fact that i wanted the charge air cooler i could have used the gm rad support with no mods but c.a.coolers help make serious hp so i used the outer portions of the gm rad support and grafted them to the dodge rad/ cooler support. after that mod the rest was a cakewalk. I went acouple step further and cutout the firewalll and tran reliefs and made a flat firewall and totally flat floor too! oh by the way this truck is not really for show as i will be running it daily as my steel hauling and portable welding rig
