Re: gas cap
Well, I like to think I am APROACHING that age... at 31 I am too young to be old.
But I can still please them...most of them anyways. |

You have a long-long way to go. I was 31 when you were born. So I do not want to hear anything about you APROACHING that age. Now I can say that! I am APPROACHING that age.

Re: gas cap
This brings up an interesting point.... it's kinda amazing how we read ppl's posts, and put them in an age group inour head with no other info...example, I always thought 86 swb was a younger guy honestly....and I've been refered to (by a 45 yr old on here) as part of the older generation.

Re: gas cap
I am a younger guy (at heart) I still feel the same today about these cars and trucks as I did when when I was in my 20's. That has never changed. Maby that is why I come off as being younger. I do not feel my age and do not think of myself as being old. You are as old as you feel. I feel great. I get to draw my Social Security check and by the time you get my age there might not be any to draw I hate to say. I really do not feel like I am old enought to be drawing Social Security.

Re: gas cap
I take it you did not see my picture with one of my GrandSons in "what do you look like"? The picture is #658. and was taken in fall 2004. We so called "OLD MEN" like our cars and trucks too. I was drag racing '57 Chevy's way before you were even thinking about being born.

86 I can hear you on the racing back when. I had a 1953 Chevy 2 door hardtop with a 283 and a 4 speed in 1965. Last year of high school I had a 58 F@RD with a 332 Interceptor, $150. It was scary fast for a 4 door sedan. I did not have to buy many lunches my senior year. I blew it up the week before going in the USAF, February 1968. Sold it 4 months later for $100.

Re: gas cap
My favoret car I had was a red '66 Chevelle SS with the 427 and four on the floor. Man that thing would run. I bought it as a present to myself after I got back from Nam alive in '66. I ordered it new and was it ever nice. It had the positraction rear, black interior. I left a lot of dual traction tire marks at stop lights draging main back then. I graduated from high school in '62. Got married in 64 and had my first daughter while I was in Nam in '65. I was kind of wild in those days. I was blessed with three daughters. Never did have that son I wanted but now I have three wonderful son-in-laws and four great grandsons and two beautiful grandaughters.
