Than not a foam filter, its a pre-filter. There is a regular filter behind that. The pre-filter keeps the chunks and bugs from getting into the filter and plugging it up too fast. The one I heard about (and actually saw go down in a blaze of glory) is the Edelbrock foam filter that is triangular.

Re: Finished Engine Pics Please

Here is some pictures of my 71 super. It is almost done. I am waiting for my aluminum radiator and electric fans to show up. This is a 454 with a supercharger running 8lbs. of boost. I have also installed the new ABS brake unit that I saw on rucks when they were doing copperhead.

I saw it on the show Trucks when Stacey David was putting one on Copper Head (the truck he was doing). Here is his site http://www.staceydavid.com/ you can get on thereand look at the copper head project. The web site is in there. It is a unit made by ABS and takes the place of the power booster and the master cylinder. It comes with an electric pump and is supposed to give you 2200lbs of braking pressure. Plus it looks sweet.

Probally wind up installing a set of stock manifolds too. These headers are too loud!

A lot of it has to do with the mufflers to, for sure, but headers always seem to tick, and my engine is built to make power between 800 - 4800 rpm, so they'll never really take advantage of the headers.
