Re: What did you get done?

I got my new rear end I bought from Bisquick65 installed and shimed. Got her all buttoned up and backed out to the driveway, did me final look under only to find out that I forgot to replaced the pinion seal. That was pretty evident by the puddle of oil. So pulled her back into the garage and replaced the seal. Everything looks good so far, big improvement from a 3.08 to a 3.73. Now my speedo is all out of whack. Gotta fix that this weekend. No worky tomorrow it is FAT TUESDAY, HAPPY MARDI GRAS

Re: What did you get done?

My weeks have been really hectic recently, the oil pump shaft on my truck broke so I had to pull the pan out to do that. Now this is a big block in a 1/2 truck, so that ment more or less pulling the motor out. Well once I did that I made my first order of parts to SummitRacing for parts for Lucky 13, got thoes in, and a new 1 piece oil pan gasket, got all that put on, went to start the truck and had a dead miss somewere. Well I had also ordered a set of Jacob's sparkplug wires and wireloom kit, so I put thoes on and while I was at it, a new dizzy cap and coil. Well miss is still there and after some quick checks, I find that #3 cylinder is dead. I pull the plug and its oil fouled big time, pull the valve cover off and it looks like the intake lifter has collasped, so that means its time to pull the intake manifold off and check it, plus when I was under my truck I noticed that my ford 9 center section gasket is leaking so I need to change that out sometime soon. Shesh, when does all the fun stop?
