I've had my 72' Short-Fleet since December 2001. Nothin' beats having a 67-72 chevy truck as your first truck

3 1/2 years. My parents STILL ask me when I'm going to get a "new to you" vehicle. Although they haven't asked me that as much since I rebuilt the engine. Hmm...

Papa's 69
7 December 1969. My Grandmother and Grandfather went shopping in Charlotte, NC for a truck. The first car lot the drove up into was Larry Smith Chevrolet. My grandmother pointed over to the right and said theres a blue one. My grandfather looked and said.........thats the one........thats my truck!!! So as the years pasted, Ive been fishing, camping, to the beach, to the mountains, and every place you can think of in this truck. My grandfather loved to take me. I was his only grandson. But then he passed away 5 years ago. The memories of us in his truck will always be with me. It was his pride and joy. But the years have been kind to this truck. Very little was ever done to it. Original everything!!! So last year I decided to completely restore it. Everything was removed, everything rebuilt or replaced. Now the truck is a daily driver (just like my grandfather did) but its nice and clean enough to bring home a few trophys (ask BIG ORANGE).

My current truck is a 1968 C-10 SWB, which i bought 2 months ago. Back in high school, i had a 1972 SWB which i sold not long after graduation. I owned that one about 2 years. I've regreted selling it all these years. Went with my father pick up his new '72 when i was 5 years old and i've been hooked on that body style ever since!!
