IMO Holley's dont suck as i stated above, they just aren't good for a dailey driver. These were the first holleys i've ever tinkered with that weren't dual feed double pumpers. As you can see i have a pair of 8oo's on this ride and it fires right up everytime. But they are dual feed double pumpers.
I'm not sure what my point is but these single feed holley just dont work for me. I have 4 of them and cant get the truck to run with any of them even with professional help, then something isn't good.

they have definately improved the design of the single feed units in the last few years and they will run great.something often overlooked is a warped baseplate on the older carbs which causes and internal vaccum leak and does all sorts of weird crap to how it runs
