Re: bed off....Pics!

Chrome Ralley Vette wheels came from a guy in Florida that was a dealer selling them new on Ebay. Try typing in chrome ralleys on ebay search. The wheels are made by Pacer Wheels. Derby caps were not cheap!!!

Cab Protection: Long time tile contractor I am...we use a paper called Aqua-Bar over the house studs pre cement for water-proofing. So I just "Blue taped" the back section of the cab with Aqua-Bar paper. Blast away!!! Everything is apart, trailing arms have been all cleaned up and painted. ECE 4" drop springs have been re-painted to match the front Ground Force springs. Rear Diff is un-attached and soaking in oven cleaner. Just knocked off all the crud...blasting tomorrow morning, painting it right after, and re-assembly will start. Pics to follow!

Re: bed off....Pics!

Little more progress... Everything is now cleaned, de-rusted, primed and painted. Ran a bead or 35 year paintable acrylic latex caulk down the center of the T arms...no more water or crud to get in there! I will be waiting on the Poly trailing arms bushing...then re-assembly and install FuelCellGuy Tank and fuel lines. Was it worth all the effort.....every freekin bit of it!!!

Differential is now hammered black paint, new looking and sweet!!!

LOL!!! I took the whole summer off last year and never touched my truck, so I'm making up for lost time. I had set a personal goal of having it move on it's own power by the end of summer. We'll see if I make it???

Hey chevydude, if you don't mind what color paint did you use on the frame?

I wanted to do something different. So the frame is painted with Rustoleum Hammered Silver. The paint really adheres well. I tried blasting it after it had dryed with my pressure washer and the paint won't budge, and I can touch up any chips any time down the road. So basically, anything that was black from the factory is now hammered silver.
