Re: Have you guys seen these trucks??

I don't agree with the style either.......................but ya gotta admit..........they look wicked!!!!!! The whole picture and all makes it so. Drive one through town and it wouldn't fit , but a show would be it's environment. I have seen a custom bik e or 2 like this also at shows and they r definetly the crowd pleasures for sure!!!!
I think what it is about em that I like is the same effect as engine spot faced panels or dashes. It takes on the mechanical element, the pure grunt of it all and demonstrates the hard work we all go through to get there!!!
I think they would make a great Icon of the century for the Chevy trucks and 2 of the best models out there. They also look like they scream horsepower!!!!
They are also an image that reminds me of the example that all of us true builder / fabricators see as our truck progresses on it's way to our dream, whatever it is. Kinda like the Rat Rod look: it realy is just the unfinished project. The true hot rodders don't call them Rats , they are just work in progress. Now a 80 Toyota truck in flat black with red wheels and a boom box is something I have no use for. Allof the Chevy trucks before they started making everything plastic have my respect.
NO MATTER HOW YOU BUILD IT!!!!!

LOL...it always amazes me the responses these threads get. To me...what ever floats your boat. I like them... I also like some them plain jane stocks ones...(some of them) ..anyways saying they should be blown up or burried or some other derogatory slam, to me, is just ignorant. I can see saying...gawd that thing fugly(IMO). I've seen 100's of trucks on here that are not my cup of tea...but I wouldn't slam them..if it's what you like...then good for you.

Re: Have you guys seen these trucks??

I admire whoever took the time to do this work. It doesn't look finshed (no glass) and the trucks are very impractical, but I still like the idea and the fact that someone followed through with it. But I would only recommend it to those with plenty of garage space adn a second vehicle. I would enver take it in the rain, I don't care how good the sealer is.

Hehe.... reminds me of the Delorean.
