looked thru the gm partscataog i have there was poly wrapped filters available for most 67-72 trucks the ac # was a368c most were for the 6cyl dont no why though its nothing like the k&n of today though

I was once told by a Chevrolet parts dept. manager that this option did not exist. He said that all stake bodies were installed as a dealer option. Any ideas?

I've never seen that as an option, it usually got it's own MODEL NUMBER.
The poly wrap worked better then the K&N crap. K&N doesn't filter much at all. They are junk.

K&N's are GREAT at removing 1" and larger diameter rocks!

The VIN on my truck is CE230, means it's a 1970 3/4 ton cab chassis with a V8. dh81K30 yours is CCS232 1972 3/4 ton cab chassis with a strait six. I guess the original glovebox to my truck read the same thing as it was also a flatbed.

Oh yeah what about the half-leaf auxillary springs for coil rear trucks?

i've seen at least a dozen ov the coil rear with the overloads.
I stand corrected... they didn't have there own model number, I just looked at it again, but they were sold through GM though. They just recieved the cab/chassis model number

Yeah Jake I just looked in the LMC catalog and saw 'em but I'm talking factory stuff from GM that was ordered on the trucks. I just got a set of originals yesterday for $25 off of a loaded option 1972 Custom 20 that had so much rust in the roof of the cab it's almost a convertible. I've never seen the auxillary springs on a truck in person till yesterday. Kind of sucks since the truck was nice when new. Long bed with wood floor(might have been a longhorn, if it is i'll do my best to save it!), 4 season AC, custom trim, HD front/rear springs, sway bar, power steering, power brakes, 4 speed, LS9 350, etc and I think it had a center seat belt. Had dang near every option except cab lights!

How rare is the bed mounted spare tire mount? I have one and have only seen one other one.
