Re: Dino63's 66SWB
The rears are 22x10 with 295 35's and the front are 20x8.5 with 255 35's. They're a Porterbuilt Street Rods signature wheel... that's a joke. I got a screaming deal on em a while back and went ahead and bought a few sets... that's why you see them on so many of the trucks we've worked on.

Re: Dino63's 66SWB
Here's a pic of Dino's 63 Panel... the 66 will match (except sit lower in the rear). I'll post up a larger image tomrrow... didn't realize how small this one was.

Re: Dino63's 66SWB
I love the way these trucks look, laid out. Makes me wish mine was close to this stage. For that crossmember, will it lay out on a 22? Or is there necessary work to make it lay out?

Re: Dino63's 66SWB
It will lay frame with a 3" drop spindle and a 29" diameter tire... there are plenty of 22's that are 29" tall... so yes, it will lay out with the right 22 .

I like the bridge bracing you ran foward to the hoop and the bag mounts. Ok... I like the whole thing! Love all the CNC'd parts. Very clean and functional design as usual.

Re: Dino63's 66SWB
I agree, Porterbuilt, you have some amazing skills...the rides look beautiful. I wish I had 1/2 the skills you do. By the way, that sectioned 56 is gonna be a jaw dropper when its done, and your truck is gorgeous as well. Keep us posted on the work, love seeing it!!

Thanks, for the compliments... I am pretty lucky to be able to do this stuff everyday, and get paid for it! I got some cool projects in the works... I will keep updates coming on all the trucks.

Re: Dino63's 66SWB
A mis-alignment bushing, shim, or spacer is a small machined spacer that is used in conjunction with a spherical rod-end (Heim joint) to allow the joint greater movement.
Here's a pic of a heim with mis-alignment spacers (on top and bottom with a bolt through the middle).

Re: Dino63's 66SWB
That's the only draw back to doing this kind of work... you have to cover it all up when your done . Oh well, WE know what's under there!

Re: Dino63's 66SWB
Again- Keep those construction shots coming! I always wait for you to post more pics. I'm always impressed with your honest, straight-forward answers. It seems too often that guys post on other websites and slam everybody else's work while producing questionable quality themselves. My wife's folks live in Suprise, AZ, and the next time we visit I plan on coming to Mesa and looking you up. By the way, I can't get over the way your Mig welds look. The spacing and width look like a robot did it. With Migs that look that nice, who needs the time consuming hassle of Tigging everything?

Re: Dino63's 66SWB
Nathan your work is SIC. Plain gorgeous metalcrafting. It is a shame all of your chassis work gets covered up. Tell your customer to run a plexiglass floor in the stepper!

Re: Dino63's 66SWB
Thanks guys, for all the compliments.
Don't worry, the floor will be designed to leave a majority of the work exposed, yet keep as much road grime out as pissible.
