Re: Rally wheels dont fit

Best guess is there the one on the left. I bought 5/16 spacers and that works. I have no idea who's wheels these are as they were given to me. I dont like the spacer deal so I'll be buying 2 correct wheels. I'm trying to decide if I want 8's or 10's on the front. I'll have 2 for sale soon LOL

Re: Rally wheels dont fit

Were there any 5 lug corvette rallys made with the 5 on 5 bolt pattern? I'm thinking they were all 5 on 4 3/4

Chevy never made any, but a lot of aftermarket manufacters do make them 5 on 5.
I have a set on my truck.

Re: Rally wheels dont fit

That`s why I`m confused.I don`t know any reason there would be 5 lug truck wheels made with the drum brake profile .

Yeehaw NASCAR wheels will work and can be gotten for 35-55 dollars depending on backspacing and width
Shane

Any one know what backspacing that these trucks require?

I used "unique wheel" corvette style rallys I bought off of Ebay on my truck. They are shaped like the picture on the right and they had a good 1/2" of clearance around the caliper. So if you've got a disk brake truck, check your rims before you buy (if you can).

I got mine from Wheel Vintiques and they fit my '72 with discs in front perfectly. The center caps fit from my '69 Vette rally wheels but I needed to buy their trim rings as well. They're a perfect fit IMHO; the Summit Racing link is below - I got these for $52 each.

Re: Rally wheels dont fit

i learned this lesson back in the late 70s. i bought a nice set of chrome rims with tires for my 73 chevy 1/2 ton 4x4 that came off a toyota landcruiser, i ran them down to a gas station where a buddy of mine was working and proceeded to bolt them up, dropped the truck down and tried to back it out of the stall. the front wheels wouldn't roll-oops. luckily the person i bought them from was nice enough to refund my money and i learned a valuable lesson.

hope everything works out for you Steve. :hit:
