Re: Best sounding best performing exhaust - flowmaster or magnaflow?

I used to work PT at a muffler shop, this comes up on here at least once
a year, Flows (Flowmaster) will give you a deeper sound, especially older
series ones, but on the flow charts Magnaflow kicks their butt, one thing
to remember about tone is that many things affect it, pipe dia, tail pipes
vs. turndowns, tips vs. no tips, etc....... Asa who posted a clip of his has
3" tailpipes, most peeps do not, mine is not as deep as his, but mine turns
out in front of the tires so the tailpipes are very short and smaller dia 2.5"
everyone has opinions on here, and some will argue mine, but I'm going by
facts on paper, sound is all of what you make it, and what you really want
before you get anything look at this chart I took out of the Flows manual.

Re: Best sounding best performing exhaust - flowmaster or magnaflow?

Luv2xclr8 posted an audio clip of one of his trucks with Magnaflows on it about a year ago and it sounds awesome! I don't know if he has it hosted somewhere or not.

YJ, I still have it, let me see if I can upload it and I will edit this post

*Found it, keep in mind it was IN THE GARAGE so it has that tunnel sound.
